POSITION DESCRIPTION
Title: ADAS Calibration and Auto Glass Technician
Must be based in the Lexington, KY area.
SUMMARY:
The ADAS Calibrations and Glass Technician is responsible for restoring customers’ vehicles back to OEM specifications by recalibrating Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and supporting modules, as well as performing Auto Glass remove/install’s repairs and replacements. ADAS training, continuing education, and internal technical support is provided by 360Align. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and functionality of diagnostic systems, contributing to vehicle safety, reliability, and compliance with industry regulations. The technician must demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service while upholding CollisionRight standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete static and dynamic ADAS recalibrations per specifications on foreign, domestic, and EV (electric) vehicles at 360Align locations or mobile customer sites.
Inspect auto glass components, assess damage, and determine appropriate repair methods.
Remove and install glass without causing additional damage to the vehicle.
Repair minor damage such as cracks and chips in auto glass using appropriate tools.
Communicate with field teams and customers to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Utilize various tools to perform the most effective recalibration and auto glass installation.
Complete pre and post scans and communicate outcomes effectively.
Ensure tooling software updates are completed daily.
Troubleshoot complex recalibrations.
Conduct test drives after recalibrations are completed.
Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with customers and CollisionRight repair center personnel.
Explain ADAS recalibration specifications and repair planning needs effectively.
Maintain accountability for assigned ADAS and glass repair inventory (including vehicles, mobile devices, diagnostic scanners, VCI, and other equipment provided).
Work from an assigned CollisionRight location and/or a mobile calibration van; travel may be required outside of the assigned area.
Participate in on-going training sessions and complete ADAS and glass repair certifications.
Maintain a well-organized work area, including 360Align vehicles and vans.
Adhere to all company and body shop policies, procedures, and safety rules.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Three (3) years of Auto Glass experience including body/fleet R&I services
One (1) year of experience in automotive repairs.
Experience in module programming, wiring repair, ADAS recalibration, or auto glass repair (preferred).
Knowledge of automotive diagnostic repair and collision repair processes (preferred).
ASE or I-CAR certifications (preferred).
Successfully complete 360Align ADAS recalibration training.
Ability to read and understand instructions and estimates.
Understanding of technology, scan tools, factory software, and basic software programs.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficiently.
Self-motivated, positive attitude, and customer-focused approach.
Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass an MVR check.
Ability to work in an autobody repair shop environment.
Requires standing for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, and walking.
Must be able to safely lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
